Questions lawyers ask first
What is LawSignals?
Software for US law firms, in three products. Legislative follows the bills in your practice area in every state legislature, DC and Congress, and each month writes up what moved in a report you can send to a client. Workspace, in beta, answers questions and drafts from a matter’s own files and checks every case citation. Assistant is coming soon.
How much does it cost?
Legislative: one practice area is from $39/mo billed annually, $49 month to month, with a 14-day free trial and no per-state pricing. Workspace: $39 per user a month, or $398 a year. 14-day free trial.
Do I need all three?
No. Legislative and Workspace each have their own subscription, and a firm can have either or both.
How is Legislative different from LegiScan or a free law-firm tracker?
LegiScan gives you bill data and keyword alerts. A free tracker from a law firm or the IAPP shows which laws have passed. LawSignals follows pending bills, matches them on what they do rather than the words in the title, ranks them by how far they moved, and writes the month up for you.
Is any of it reviewed by an attorney?
No. Each tracker’s scope is model-drafted, not attorney-reviewed, and the report is written from the legislative record. Workspace does not give legal advice: you stay responsible for the work.
Which jurisdictions does Legislative cover?
Every state legislature, DC and Congress, updated daily, with federal rules from the Federal Register. Every bill links to the legislature’s own page.
