What this tracker does not cover
This is not a public pensions or workforce budget tracker. Retirement system administration, appropriations for job programmes and tax breaks on wages sit outside the scope unless they change what an employer owes a worker.

Questions
What does this tracker cover?
State and federal bills on wages and hours, worker classification, paid leave, unemployment and workers' compensation, discrimination and pay equity, unions and collective bargaining, workplace safety, AI in hiring and workplace monitoring, and noncompetes.
Does it cover AI in hiring?
Yes. Automated employment decision tools, notice of electronic monitoring and limits on algorithmic discipline are in scope here, and the same bills also appear in the AI Legislation Tracker.
Does it cover noncompetes?
Yes: bans, salary thresholds, notice requirements and limits on nondisclosure and no-poach agreements, in every state that files them.
Who decides what is relevant?
The Tracker's written scope: a bill is in when it creates a duty the scope covers. Scopes are model-drafted and tested against bills checked by hand. They are not attorney-reviewed, and LawSignals does not give legal advice.
